Privacy Policy

Who runs this

Blessed Homeschool Dad is a one-person homeschool resource project run by Matthew, a homeschool dad in Greater Detroit, Michigan. This policy covers everything I publish under the blessedhomeschooldad.com domain, the World Timeline app (iPhone, iPad, and Android), and any future apps I publish under the same developer account.

What the World Timeline app collects

Nothing personal. The app does not require sign-in, does not create an account, does not ask for your name, email, age, location, contacts, photos, microphone, or any other device permission beyond what iOS and Android grant a standard sandboxed app. All history data is bundled with the app at install time and works offline on both platforms.

• Globe tab: Loads a 3D world map from blessedhomeschooldad.com/world-history/ inside an in-app browser view. The website that loads sees a normal web request (no name, no email — just a request to deliver the map).
• Timeline, Events, Study Playground tabs: 100% offline. No network requests at all.
• Share button (Study Playground): Uses your device's standard system share sheet (iOS Share sheet or Android Sharesheet). Whatever you choose to share, and with whom, stays on your device until you send it. We never see it.
• About tab feedback form: Anonymous. If you type a message and tap Send, it's posted to a Cloudflare Worker we control. We don't ask for, store, or look up your name, email, or device identifier. Don't include personal information in the message field and we'll never have it.
• Analytics: None. The app has no third-party analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK that ties events to a user.

What the website collects

blessedhomeschooldad.com is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like virtually every website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps short-term request logs for security and performance reasons — IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp. We don't read those, sell them, or combine them with anything else. They age out automatically per Cloudflare's standard retention.

We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising trackers, or any third-party analytics service. We don't set first-party tracking cookies. The site has no login system, no comment system that requires registration, and no newsletter signup.

Some pages link to outside services (museums, curriculum publishers, etc.). Those sites have their own privacy policies and we have no control over what they collect once you click through.

Children's privacy

The World Timeline app is designed for general audiences including children. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is rated 9+ on the App Store and carries the equivalent age rating on Google Play. It contains only historical reference content.

Data sharing

We don't have anything to share. We don't sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer personal data to third parties because we don't collect any.

Your rights

Because we don't collect personal data, there's nothing in our possession to access, correct, delete, or port. If you live somewhere with privacy laws that grant you such rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), the practical answer is the same: we have no file on you.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app or site works in a way that affects what's described here, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Major changes will also be noted on the app's About tab.
